Windy Moon

Here I go trying another challenge. I'm going to post my "Windy Moon" ATC...I smooched around inks for my background and used my finger to create the moon. The stamp has been designed by the late Gwen Frostic - here's her website: http://www.gwenfrostic.com/

I love this stamp...it's so evocative of wild nature, where you learn to be quiet with yourself and just be.

Let's Do Paris!

Oohh La La! I went to Paris to make this week's Gothic Arch. The theme is Turquoise...a perfectly Paris color. I made one arch and it just fell flat on its...side??? Well, tonight Paris came out and surprised me. I enjoyed the piece...it's nice when you don't struggle over a piece. Struggling is ok, from it you learn, but I like when a piece just comes together sweetly, don't you?

Happy October

The air has turned deservedly cool and crisp. The leaves are just barely tipped in red and orange. My busy month at work is over, but October means it starts all over again! Hopefully, although renewing contracts and standing up new ones won't be as time and labor intensive as September. Little by little I'm finding time for art. I just made an ATC and think it's okay. At least I'm creating!

Too Much Work, Too Little Art!

I have been trying to get some art in, but this is the busiest time of the year at work. However, I'm determined to keep up with Gothic Arches simply because it is such a wonderful challenge! This week was anything goes, so I was able to come up with anything! LOL!! I call it "Butterfly" and I hope it's worthy.

Autumn Moo

Do you love autumn? I certainly do...the falling leaves, pumpkins and the crisp, cool weather. It's a wonderful time of year. I found "Make a Moo or Two" and decided I'd participate with one moo...they are very addictive and fun to create. I hope you like it!

Movies!

The theme this week at Gothic Arches is "Movies" - our favorite movies. Boy, I could go on and on, I love the movies. But considering the time of year...with Halloween fast approaching...and the fact that a good old ghost story is shivery any time of year, I went with the first "scary" movie I ever saw. Mom let me watch this when I was about 10 years old. I'm surprised she did, but she sat with me (I think she has a crush on Ray Milland) and we watched "The Uninvited" - one of the best in the business. I hope you enjoy this travel back (way back) in time to a good, old fashioned ghost story!

Time

This week's theme on Gothic Arches is Time. I puzzled over it for a while, but when I found the image of the mom reading to her little girl, I knew exactly what I'd do. I used MyTatteredAngels spray...3 colors that I sprayed on a sponge. I didn't like the effect so I sprayed each one directly on the arch and used the sponge to move the color around. I stamped swirls lightly from Quietfire Designs with Sepia and Gold. I'm happy with it and happy to post it to Gothic Arches.
