Let's have a "cuppa". I visited London a very long time ago...when there, a friend invited me to his parents house for tea. They were absolutely wonderful people (the Mortons of Mill Hill, I have lost touch sadly!) I always drank my tea with milk, but not just a few drops of milk...at least half a cup of milk! The Mortons were absolutely fascinated by this habit of mine, although they never let me know. Later on Michael told me his dad said "So, she seems to fancy a spot of tea with her milk, eh?" Well, it's not so funny, but one of those memories of a great trip. Had I played my cards differently, I might have been a British citizen today, but apparently that wasn't meant for me. Long story...but the Three Muses are to blame! :o) I'll stop rambling and tell you that I used various images and Stargazer from Luminarte on my tin tile for this piece. Thanks for looking!

Lynn, your most beautiful picture just popped up on my blog roll. It is sensational. One of your very best. I love the idea of the birds in their nest sitting in the teacup. This is exquisite artwork. A standing ovation from me.
Love that your art is on a tin tile, Lynn, fascinating story, too along with a piece of lovely art!
I had to chuckle when I read your post, since my husband is a huge fan of lots of milk with his tea! Your piece is so lovely. I can't believe that it's on a tin tile. FAbulous! Hugs, Terri
This is a charming and comforting piece Lynn- I love it. My mom drank a little tea with her milk and tons of sugar- never could do that myself! Lovely entry!
How cute!!! Love it! My sons just got home from London today! What an adventure for them! No tea parties though...:)
Lovely, Lynn! Great story too!
Wow Lynn a wonderful card. Fantastic work. I love the bird.
Sweet cup of tea!
the perfect nesting place!
Love the idea of the spring bird on the cup. Beautiful! And great story.
I am the complete opposite - I like my tea with a dash of milk and no sugar but I am British(English) born and bred - but I love your artwork and I suppose bird's nest tea makes a change from bird's nest soup, doesn't it!
what a beautiful tile as the background, i love that birdsnest in the teacup.
isn't it fun how something like this challenge triggers so many memories
Well, if there can be a tempest in a teapot, there can surely be a bird's nest in a teacup! This is a beautiful tile, Lynn! I'm a milk-in-tea sort of person as well, so you can't be all bad!! I grew up on iced tea, and I'm quite sure I was old enough to vote before I even tasted a cup of hot tea. Poor me!
Lynn I love your creation for this week, with those little birds nesting in the tea cup AND how clever you are to create it all on a tin tile. You deserve to take a very low bow.
I love how you build your piece on the tin tile...it does so well with the theme and your milk with a drop of tea story is too much fun!
Really a nice cup of tea.
Love your tea tale AND your lovely collage Lynn!
I like black tea with milk too!
You and I are on the same wave length with our teacups it seems ;)
Happy Springtime!
