Here's a skinny a made for this challenge...I thought she'd make a beautiful grandmother...one of my favorite memories of my gram is this wonderful button box she kept in a drawer in her old Singer sewing machine. There were all sizes and colors of buttons, and quite a lot of renegade threads. I loved to watch her sew and embroider her linens. I still have a few dresser scarves she made, they're my treasures! Thanks for stopping by!

Soft and lovely. My Nana had a button jar too. And so do I!
Fabulous piece, Lynn!
A beautiful memory so well illustrated Lynn. My Gran also had a button box and I love it too.
linda a forma que resgatou a memoria da maquina de costura e sua mãe!
Hi Lynn, I have one of those ancient treadle Singer sewing machines with the wooden cabinet and drawers either side to hold all the buttons and cottons, etc. I actually learned to sew on it. One of these days I plan to have it restored to good health.
I love your memories artpiece. What a beautiful photo and a lovely setting you have put her in. Fantastic.
This is such a lovely memory piece. The addition of the buttons is perfect, and thank you for sharing your memories of your grandmother! My grandmother had a basket of scrap fabrics by her chair, and cut them in circles and made the little yo-yos for pillow tops. Thanks for triggering that memory!
What a great memory Lynn. She does make a great looking grandma and the added touch of the buttons just completes it.
It is so enjoyable to watch ever ones memory Lynn, and yours is also very surprising !
I suddenly remember my mothers button box too !!!
Oh, yes! YES! I could so easily have written your words, as my experiences were exactly the same. I adored Grandma's buttons and her embroidery, and I too, have scarves and pillowcases that are worth their weight in gold to me. Thanks for the memories! Very pretty and extremely emotional to me.
Those are wonderful memories! I love the buttons. (Yep, guys can like buttons, too.)
Love your memory piece, Lynn. My grandmother was good at sewing and other needlework, too. She taught me to embroider and tried to teach me to crochet. Grandmothers are special people. I notice that you have grandchildren so I know you are making memories for them, too.
Cute as a button!!!
My mother-in-law was a seamstress and saved buttons too!!
So much to see and enjoy and catch up on Lynn!
This piece is precious...what a wonderful memory you've shared of your dear Gram too...the buttons on the card look real!
